ICAT is supporting El Salvador to develop and institutionalize a framework for monitoring its NDC actions, in line with the requirements of the MPGs. El Salvador is also a member of the ICAT regional climate action transparency hub in Central America.

Overview
- Support El Salvador in developing and institutionalizing a Climate Finance Transparency Framework, facilitating the tracking of commitments and measures related to the 2021 and 2025 NDCs, including climate finance and support required and received.
- Update the national MRV platform to integrate the framework and ensure connectivity with other national systems, including the National Climate Action Platform.
- Support for NDC tracking and strengthening El Salvador’s Transparency framework.
- Design of a framework for tracking climate finance and support received and required.
- Update of El Salvador’s MRV system platform.

Overview
The project is supporting the management and monitoring of NDC implementation, focusing on prioritized sectors, by improving the framework for periodic data collection and management, revising institutional arrangements, and proposing a reporting format for policies, actions, and measures. Additionally, it will update El Salvador's NDC tracking platform to align it with the country's MRV framework.
